The Norman's, Coliseum, Dog's Leg, Farmer Black's and Hell's Half Mile con't
The other route (the "meat run") involves punching the Kahuna itself, running slightly left of center through a break that appears periodically in the face and carrying on straight down through some large waves and powerful boils to the flat section below. Immediately behind the Kahuna on the left is a big, squirrely eddy that provides the only real squirt potential in this rapid.

Below Coliseum is a smaller rapid known as Dog's Leg that serves up some good play at various levels. The rapid is divided into more than one channel by a ridge of rock, creating several routes through it. The most common route is to run the right-hand chute around to the left, past an interesting playhole named Puppy Chow. It's a bit steep for blasting, but shorter boats can have fun with it. Another route is to run the Center Slot, an ugly pourover which is blast-able for those with stout hearts and high pain tolerances (the rocks on either side are sharp and prominent).

Below Dog's Leg there is a stretch of flattish water with a few swirlies in the current to play with, and a splattable rock shelf in mid stream that has an excellent seam coming off the right side - good potential for downtime here. A short drop follows into the last rapid on the Main Channel, Farmer Black's. There is a hole at the top of this rapid that is deceptively benign-looking. It's not dangerously retentive by any means, but it does have stopping power - more so than it's low, slide-type character would imply. It's a stellar blasting venue at lower levels, and the long eddylines that follow further down can be a great place to wind up the day with some extended cartwheeling and past-vertical work (if you've got the energy). Talented boaters can even achieve downtime here, especially in mush-mode. Moving downstream from Farmer Black's, there is a long section of very little gradient known as Hell's Half Mile that has a lot of sublime little mush-move and (occasionally) splat/swipe spots that keep one entertained until a deep, secluded bay appears on the right. This is the takeout for River Run Paddling Centre, and the end of the run down the Main Channel of the Ottawa River.
